Orient Paper - UPDATE

Orient Paper & Industries Limited has informed the Exchange that The Kolkata Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has on November 8, 2017 approved the Scheme of Demerger of the Consumer Electric Business of the Orient Paper & Industries Limited (“OPIL”) into OPIL’s wholly owned subsidiary, Orient Electric Limited (“OEL”). This Scheme was approved by the Shareholders of the OPIL at the Tribunal Convened Meeting held on June 29, 2017.

  1. Thanks for the update. What's the future prospects of paper industry (OPIL). I am thinking of holding OEL for long but not very confident about OPIL. Please let me have your opinion.

  2. The paper businss has been turn around, and co making profit in paper, i think it should remain profitable as all paper co. doing well.
